The Nigerian Law Publications Limited was formed in 1976 by late Chief Ganiyu Oyesola Fawehinmi, SAN (1938 – 2009). The aims of the company are to promote, advance and democratise the knowledge and practice of law. The company prints, publishes and markets law books and reports.
The corporate Head Office of the company is situated at Otunba Jobi Fele Way, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, while the Head Office (Sales) is located at No. 90, Lewis Street, Lagos.
The company has published more than 1,800 (One thousand, Eight hundred) titles and law reports since its inception, the most popular is its flagship publication, the Nigerian Weekly Law Reports (NWLR), which was founded in 1985 and has been published on a weekly basis consecutively for an unbroken period of 35 years, a first of its kind for longevity in Africa.
The company has 9 (Nine) branch offices in nine states in Nigeria, to wit: Abuja, Akure, Benin-City, Enugu, Ibadan, Ilorin, Kaduna, Jos and Port-Harcourt. These branch offices serve as sale outlets for all its publications.
A subsidiary company of the Nigerian Law Publications Limited, the Books Industries (Nigeria) Limited, is responsible for printing the publications of the company and other related publications.
